Neighbourhood plan input please!

The story so far

Once upon a time – local people and councillors made decisions about their neighbourhoods!  Not any more.    Unless, like the town of Thame, you have a completed and accepted (by central Government)  Neighbourhood Plan where it shows all the places in your town or village that are agreed to be built on.  Who agrees?  Councillors and public – via consultations.

Cranleigh Neighbourhood Plan – in the planning since before 2014

Cranleigh’s has been worked on, very hard for years and years, by various good kind souls who know it would help rebuff new housing on places not on it…..  at least that’s the idea.  The Governments have all made all areas build, build, build, and require numbers, numbers, numbers!  The latest issue is that ‘regulation 14’ requires a survey to get approval of some plots to be included –

Rear of Manns – 38 dwellings – has approval;

West Cranleigh nursery, Alfold Road – they have approval for 74 but can add another 38

Bloggs way – behind the Post Office – 4 dwellings.

Have a read if you’d like to – click here

AND – they have to get lots of people to approve so please complete the survey here

thanks citizens!

best regards

the team

Cranleigh has expanded so much in the 10 years since I moved here, without any money being spent on the infrastructure as follows:-
-The medical centre was closed for 2 weeks before Christmas as they could not cope with the volume
– you cannot get a five year medical overhall unless you travel to Kingston
Boots cannot cope with the quantity of prescriptions
nothing has been spent on schools or the roads to cope
Too many cars are trying to use Knowl Lane, etc, etc
